Attorney Bobbie Anne Cox, and Wai Wah Chin from the Chinese American Citizens Alliance Greater New York sounded the alarm on Good Morning CHD with host Michael Kane about the extreme dangers of Proposal One. On November 5, 2024, Proposal One will be on the ballot for New Yorkers to vote on. It is crucial that every NY voter understands the consequences of Proposal One before they vote.
In the interview, Attorney Cox and Wai Wah give details on what this amendment would do to parental rights, children, women/girls’ sports, how it will allow illegals rights as citizens and more. Attorney Cox explains that the “Democrats have a very weak argument”. She says “it is a form of gaslighting” when they claim the proposal is all about protecting women’s rights to abortion. According to Attorney Cox, “the word abortion is not in the amendment.” She said, “if it was about abortion why didn’t they add it to the language of the amendment?” She also points out that NY already has very strong laws (for about 50 years) that protect women’s rights to abortion. Attorney Cox said putting abortion in the state constitution is completely unnecessary because the laws are set and there is no chance the abortion laws will be reversed. “It is a smokescreen and not the true reason they are pushing this amendment. What Democrats are really doing will cause a reversal of women’s rights.”
